What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a simple government initiative which allows donors to increase the value of their donations at no extra cost to them. For every pound given, charities can get an extra 25 pence from HM Revenue & Customs, helping donations go further.

Our Aim

One of our Treasurer’s tasks is claiming gift aid. Her aim is to be able to claim for the whole group!

In 2016 we claimed back £4,390 from the tax man. This could have been as much as £6,308 if we were able to claim for the whole group.

What Can You Do?

Thanks to all those who have filled in a form.

Don’t forget, whatever you pay in subs, we can claim back 25% of that again.

We can reclaim gift aid backdated for up to 6 years

So if you are a UK taxpayer and you haven’t already,

PLEASE, PLEASE send a completed Gift Aid form into any of the Leaders.
